Waiting

Waiting is
Part of life
For parents.

From the time of thinking of parenthood
Till they breathe last.

For letting their children open their eyes
For letting them getting up (up in arms at times)
From birth till they attain parenthood
And even after that
Till they remain parents
It's kind of parenting and part of parenthood.

For parents
Waiting is their part of life.

Short or long
Now or then
Time is immaterial.

They say
Only girls leave home after they wear bridal looks.

But the times have changed and
The sense of equity
And that of equality
Has made parents waiting for their sons 

More than their daughters.

Open arms
Open hearts
Open minds
All wait.

Waiting is part of parents' life.

Leaving

Its ages since we saw you
Your unwanted tantrums
And wanted wishes
Have all taken you
To the city of dreams.

Far away in distance
Leaving us dreadful

Dreamful of your presence
And in the acoustics.

All of us have to move away
Far in the distance
To bridge the gap
between the dreams and reality.

But that would be so soon
And so sudden for so long.

All have moved
From the places of their origin
To the place of their dreams.

Recalling and reminiscing.

They say
Distances make no difference
When the hearts are loyal.

Leaving one home
And building another one
Is the part of life
For your tribe.

They say
The early we realise
The better it would be.

Leaving is part of life
But why have I
Not realised it yet
When it comes to you.

जाले

कमरे के कोने में
किताबों की अलमारी में
चौके में रखे मसाले के डिब्बों के ऊपर
कुर्सी-मेज़ के इर्द-गिर्द

हर उस जगह
हर उस वस्तु के आसपास
जिसका प्रयोग काफी समय से नहीं किया गया है
या
जो हमारी रोजमर्रा की गतिविधियों से परे है

हर उस रिश्ते में जिसको हम भूल रहे हैं

लग गए हैं जाले

चलिए
उन जालों को साफ करते हैं।

कमरों में झांकते हैं
कोनों को खंगालते हैं
मसालों का स्वाद लेते हैं
किताबों के पृष्ठों को पलटते हैं
थोड़ा कुर्सी-मेज़ को हिलाते हैं

वस्तुओं का प्रयोग करते हैं
या
जिसकी आवश्यकता नहीं हैं
-जिसको उसकी आवश्यकता है-
उसको देते हैं

रोजमर्रा की गतिविधियों में कुछ प्रयोग करते हैं
रिश्तों को पुनर्जीवित करते हैं
उन्हें संभालते हैं

चलिए
जालों को तलाशते हैं
उनको साफ करते हैं।
